AT their monthly meeting, Athy Lions club were delighted to have three representatives from the local St Vincent de Paul Conference, Noreen Dunne, Ber McEvoy, and Mary English, present. The Lions Club, through local fundraising, was able to make a donation to the branch that will support the Athy V de P continue their great work in the community. Also at the meeting, Lion Club member Gerry Cleary, a founding member of the club with over 50 years’ involvement in the club, made the presentation to St Vincent de Paul president Ber McEvoy.
